Free Tool
CSS / JS Minifier
Paste a CSS or JS file and get a comment-free, whitespace-trimmed version back along with the byte savings. Useful for a quick manual minify of a small snippet without wiring up a build step.
How It Works
Three Steps, Done
01
Paste your code
Choose CSS or JavaScript as the input type.
02
Click Minify
Comments and unnecessary whitespace are stripped in-browser.
03
Check the savings
See before/after byte size, then copy the minified output.
Why It Matters
More Than Just Convenient
- Smaller CSS/JS payloads reduce render-blocking time, which helps LCP and overall page weight.
- No upload, no build tooling, good for a quick one-off minify of a custom snippet or inline script.
- JS mode flags regex-literal edge cases so you know when to double-check the output by hand.
FAQ
Common Questions
No, for a full theme or app, a proper bundler with Terser/cssnano will do a much more aggressive and safer minify. This tool is for quick, one-off snippets.
This minifier only strips comments and collapses whitespace. It doesn't rename variables or restructure code, so the risk is low. The one edge case is regex literals containing // or /*, so review those manually.
